Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Sinai mobile application ("Sinai," "the App," "our Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Sinai is a mobile application that provides:

Audio narrations of Bible content using AI-generated voices
Organized episodes covering biblical books and chapters
Progress tracking and personalized listening experience
Offline listening capabilities through downloads
Multiple Bible translations

Current Status: Sinai is currently offered as a free service. We reserve the right to introduce premium features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the future.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Sinai. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should use Sinai under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Account Registration

Creating an Account

To access certain features, you must create an account using:

Social sign-in (Google, Apple, or other supported providers)
Valid email address
Accurate registration information

Account Security

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account.

AI-Generated Content

Nature of Content

Important Disclosure: All audio narrations in Sinai are generated using artificial intelligence text-to-speech technology, not human voice actors. While we use advanced AI to ensure quality and accuracy:

AI voices may occasionally mispronounce names, places, or uncommon words
Narrations may lack the emotional nuance of human reading
Pronunciation may vary between episodes or versions
We do not guarantee perfect accuracy in all instances

Source Material

Audio content is based on established Bible translations in the public domain or licensed for use. We strive to faithfully represent the source text, but AI generation may introduce minor variations.

No Theological Claims

Sinai is a tool for accessing biblical content. We do not:

Endorse any particular theological interpretation
Claim authority on biblical scholarship
Represent any specific denomination or religious organization
Provide spiritual guidance or counseling

Acceptable Use

You May

Use Sinai for personal, non-commercial purposes
Download episodes for offline listening
Share the App with others
Provide feedback and suggestions

You May Not

Use Sinai for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
Extract, copy, or redistribute audio content outside the App
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
Impersonate others or provide false information
Interfere with the App's operation or other users' experience
Use the App to distribute malware or harmful content
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

Sinai and its content, including but not limited to:

Software code and architecture
User interface and design
Logos, trademarks, and branding
Original compilations and arrangements

are owned by Sinai or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Bible Translations

Bible translations used in Sinai are either:

In the public domain, or
Licensed for use in our application

You acknowledge that certain translations may have separate copyright protections.

AI-Generated Audio

The AI-generated audio narrations are created by Sinai using third-party text-to-speech services. While the underlying biblical text may be public domain, the specific audio files are our property.

Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

Access and use the App for personal purposes
Download episodes for offline listening within the App
Use the App in accordance with these Terms

This license does not permit:

Redistribution of audio files outside the App
Commercial use of content
Creation of derivative works
Public performance or broadcast

User Content

Feedback and Suggestions

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas to improve Sinai, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback without compensation or attribution.

Reviews and Ratings

If we enable user reviews or ratings:

You grant us permission to display and use your content
You must not post offensive, defamatory, or misleading content
We reserve the right to remove inappropriate content

Service Availability

Current Free Service

Sinai is currently free to use. However:

We may introduce premium features requiring payment
Basic access to biblical content will remain free
Existing users will receive advance notice of any changes

No Guarantee of Availability

We do not guarantee that:

The App will be available at all times
Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
All content will remain available indefinitely
The App will work on all devices or operating systems

Right to Modify or Discontinue

We reserve the right to:

Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature
Update audio content or translations
Change the App's design or functionality
Discontinue the Service entirely (with reasonable notice)

UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION

AI Content Disclaimer

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI-GENERATED NARRATIONS ARE FREE FROM ERRORS, MISPRONUNCIATIONS, OR INACCURACIES. USERS SHOULD VERIFY IMPORTANT INFORMATION AGAINST WRITTEN BIBLE TRANSLATIONS.

No Spiritual Advice

SINAI DOES NOT PROVIDE SPIRITUAL, RELIGIOUS, OR THEOLOGICAL ADVICE. THE APP IS A TOOL FOR ACCESSING BIBLICAL CONTENT, NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PASTORAL GUIDANCE, RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION, OR PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING.

Third-Party Services

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Third-party authentication services
AI voice generation services
Cloud storage providers
Any third-party content or links

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

No Liability for Damages

WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:

Loss of profits or revenue
Loss of data
Loss of goodwill
Service interruptions
Any other intangible losses

Maximum Liability

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATING TO SINAI SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS (CURRENTLY $0).

Exceptions

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for personal injury or certain statutory rights. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sinai, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Your violation of applicable laws

Termination

By You

You may stop using Sinai at any time and delete your account through the app settings or by contacting voices@getsinai.app.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if:

You violate these Terms
You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
Required by law
Necessary to protect our rights or others' safety

Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your right to use the App ceases immediately
Your account data may be deleted
Downloaded content will remain on your device until you uninstall
Provisions that should survive (disclaimers, limitations) remain in effect

Future Paid Features

Advance Notice

If we introduce paid features or subscriptions:

Current users will receive at least 30 days' notice
Core biblical content access will remain free
Clear pricing and feature descriptions will be provided
You may choose not to subscribe and continue using free features

Premium Features May Include

Future paid features might include:

Advanced study tools
Additional Bible translations
Enhanced audio quality or human narration
Offline storage expansion
Ad-free experience
Priority support

No commitment is made to implement any specific features.

Governing Law and Disputes

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution: Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at voices@getsinai.app to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, except where prohibited by law.

Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or violation of these Terms.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action or representative proceeding.

General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sinai.

Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes are effective when posted in the App. Material changes will be notified via:

Updated "Last Updated" date

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Language

These Terms are provided in English. Translations may be provided for convenience, but the English version governs in case of conflicts.
